About Me

We are two little baby kittens who are being fostered through PAWS. We are only about five weeks old, so we need some time to fatten up. We are up for adoption from PAWS for $75. When we're ready to go home, we will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines!

Momma and Babies!

Meet our newest litter of kittens! We were planning on only taking one or two, but PAWS really wanted these three to get out of the shelter as soon as possible since the little guys are getting sick. It's hard to believe that there were originally seven kittens... so we're happy to keep the remaining two healthy!

Momma's name is Penelope - we call her Penny. She is a beautiful tortieshell who is very affectionate. Her markings are gorgeous, and she just wants to sit next to you.

The first baby is and orange female (!) named Harriet. Orange cats are usually boys, so this is a little confusing for us. She is adorable and a little shy, but I'm sure that she will come out of her shell. She doesn't run away when I hold her, but won't come over to say hi yet.

The second baby is an all black kitty named Mathilda. She is our fourth all black kitten, but our first all black female! She is the snuggliest kitten I've ever had, especially considering we just brought her home. She climbs into my lap or my hands and then refuses to move. I love her already!

Hanging out with people is fun!

Yesterday we got to hang out with our inlaws. We sat in different people's arms for almost a half an hour! Even though the the other cats and dog and lots of people were running around, we were very chill.

Are you ready for our close ups?

Hooray sitting on shoulders! No big deal.

We are now advertised on Craigslist! We will be ready in a few weeks.

We are in grad school.

Cash and Tango really like to help me do my homework. They climb up on the bed and meow and sleep on my journal articles until I give in and play or cuddle with them. The kittens no longer hide from me when I walk into the room (probably because I increased the ratio of feeding them to bathing them, haha). They are so excited to see us and love affection. They are also starting to play with their toys a lot more, which is really funny because they are not very coordinated.

Here is Cash, studying intensely about tissue engineering.

Litter 2!

We picked up our second litter yesterday from PAWS! They are actually two little boys who were found as singletons and were pulled from ACCT. They get along pretty well. PAWS thinks they are around 5 weeks old. I need to weigh them today. The only caveat with getting another litter is that Ryan got to name them.

Here is Tango, who is a little black kitten. He's really tiny, but he is eating wet food like a champ. This is the picture from the shelter.

Here is Cash, who is a handsome gray tuxedo cat. My mom is going to be in heaven. He is slower to eat, but he's also bigger! He loves to sit on the ground and stare at you.

whoops... it's been a while!

It's been a really long time since we updated. Basically, we had a great home lined up for Ella, but circumstances out of the potential adopter's control prevented her from being able to take Ella. It was sad because they seemed like such a great match, but we are glad that the adopter was responsible and thinking about how adopting is a lifelong commitment.

We've been posting Ella on craigslist and trying to spread the word again. In the meantime, she got lonely because her brothers were adopted already! We slowly began increasing the areas of the house to which she had access. Now Ella can run around wherever she wants, and she is living it up. She is very well behaved and quite entertaining!

We caught Ella bringing a ball over to the puppy to play. She also likes to try to hunt flies that get into the house. Her favorite place to sleep is on our bed. Hopefully we find an adopter soon, because Ella will make a wonderful pet, and we wouldn't want that adopter to miss any more time with her!

Lou has a home!

We are so happy! Louis has found a really wonderful home! It is sad to watch him go, but we know that he'll be loved.

Miles has a home!

Tonight Miles got adopted! We are so happy that he found a forever home (especially since he was my favorite...). Louis and Ella are still looking, so keep your ears open for people looking for a great kitten.

what we used to look like...

One of our human friends took these pictures on the day that we came home to our foster parents. We were so gross! We were tired, weak, and dirtyyy so we got a refreshing bath. Back then our foster mom was so worried about us, but now these pictures are hysterical!

we love dogs

We are obsessed with Beau the puppy. We like to run out of the room as soon as our door is opened, run down the hallway, and visit his crate. He gives us big big kisses. If he didn't try to eat our poop, he would be allowed to play more often...

healthy kitten pictures

Check out how great we look! Ella is becoming more and more playful, but she likes to stop and look at herself in the mirror. Miles is definitely a lap cat... and Louis has learned how to dart out of the bedroom so he can visit our puppy! Enjoy the new pictures :).

feeling better!

The kittens are feeling so much better! Their eye medicine is working like a champ, and they are flea free :). We're still working on the sneezing, but their little kitten sneezes are getting fewer and farther between. Hooray!

First Night Home

I checked on the kittens this morning, and they are doing great. Their water bowl was in one corner (play toy?) and their (empty) food bowl was in another corner. Everyone is using the litter box and has a great appetite. They have medicines for their colds and eyes, and they are soooo much easier to give medicine to than our adult cats. When we go to see them, Louie never stops meowing, and everyone is full of purrs. They are going to be great cats for three lucky families!

Meet Louis, Ella, and Miles!

Louis
Louis is very outgoing and vocal. He likes to explore and get lots of attention. When he meows, it comes out all garbled!

Ella
Ella is the baby of the litter. She is reserved and very sweet. She likes to sit in your lap and lie in the sun.

Miles
Miles is another very handsome all black kitten. He is a lot of fun like his brother, but he also enjoys relaxing on the bed.

Litter 1 - Our First Foster Kittens

Today we picked up our first litter of foster kittens from the brand new PAWS Spay and Neuter Clinic. There were about twelve different litters to pick from, but they told us that one of the litters had been here the longest and that another of the litters was getting sick. We picked the litter that had been there the longest (over two weeks). Originally, there were six kittens, but three of them died. We took home the remaining three: two little all black males, and a tiny little calico female. They are about eight weeks old, but they have pretty bad kitten colds and eye discharge. We took them home and cleaned them up, and now they are living the life in our extra bedroom. Pictures to come!
